TV CHOSUN's 'Miss Trot For You' will crown its second champion today (16th) with stages that break down genre boundaries.
'Miss Trot For You' is delivering deep emotional moments each episode by giving participants a second chance to pursue their dreams—dreams they had to put on hold after facing real-world challenges like illness, childcare, and financial hardship. In today's broadcast, viewers will be treated to stages filled with longing for dreams and diverse attractions featuring rock, traditional Korean music, and vocal performances.
First, high note specialists Hong Sung-yoon and Son Jin-wook from team Tigersam will perform '기다려' (Wait For Me) by the group. As Hong Sung-yoon confidently stated, "We've prepared the ultimate rock stage," the two shook the venue from the start with unstoppable high notes. The other participants watching were left speechless, saying "We forgot to breathe," and gave them a standing ovation.
Next, Jaranmaria team members Gil Ryeo-won and Park Hyo-joo will select the Gyeonggi folk song '배 띄어라' (Set Sail the Boat), presenting a stage that skillfully combines traditional Korean music and vocal performance. Gyeonggi folk song expert Lee So-na, who watched the performance, acknowledged their skills, saying "Gil Ryeo-won's distinctive vocal tone works well with Gyeonggi folk music," and Chun-gil also praised both performers for mastering a genre outside their specialty.
Additionally, MC Song Eun-yi added excitement by spontaneously singing a verse of Lee Sun-hee's '아! 옛날이여' (Ah! Those Days of Old), showcasing unexpected vocal talent.
