Actor Namkoong Min engages in a fierce battle against police in a tense standoff atop a sand dune in the middle of a construction site.
In the 5th episode of KBS 2TV's Saturday-Sunday miniseries "The Completion of Marriage" (directed by Kim Jung-hyun, Kim Min-tae / written by Jung Jae-ha / produced by Red Nine Pictures, KBS Media), which airs today (18th), viewers will see Kang Tae-joo (played by Namkoong Min) running and rolling across a construction site while trying to evade pursuing police officers.
The 4th episode achieved a nationwide viewership rating of 7.2% (based on Nielsen Korea), marking its highest point to date, and the series continues its momentum with consecutive week rankings at #1 on Disney and #2 in drama search reactions. Previously, Kang Tae-joo had vowed to strike back against Noh Man-hee (played by Kim Dae-myung), who kidnapped Go Se-yoon (played by Lee Seol), in collaboration with Lee Soo-hyung (played by Park Byung-eun), whose wife was murdered.
In episode 5, Kang Tae-joo rushes down a massive sand dune with heavy breaths and leaps onto high structures, engaging in a tense escape. While carefully scanning his surroundings to evade pursuit, Kang Tae-joo ultimately faces a large police force and even fires warning shots into the air. During filming, Namkoong Min performed high-difficulty bare-handed action sequences, with Kang Tae-joo, once an ordinary neurosurgeon, throwing himself entirely into rescuing his kidnapped wife. He delicately expressed not only realistic action rolling on rough ground, but also the intermingling anxieties and anger conveyed through his eyes and breathing.
"The Completion of Marriage" is a perilous crime thriller about a man who engages in an extreme battle against a ruthless criminal in order to rescue his wife, who was kidnapped right before their divorce. The series was produced with support from the Broadcasting and Communications Development Fund of the Broadcasting and Communications Commission.
