Dancer Gabi takes on a special challenge of minimalist travel through ENA's new entertainment show 'Gym Ssalabium'.
'Gym Ssalabium' (produced by TEO), which airs for the first time on August 1st at 7:50 PM on ENA, is a four-person, one-suitcase close-up travel variety show featuring four travelers with different tastes departing with just one carriercase. The format follows members bound together as a "one-suitcase community of fate" as they travel through four different terrains over two weeks.
Gabi, a self-proclaimed maximalist who usually packs generously, stated that she accepted the mission because this seemed like an opportunity she might not get otherwise. However, within the limited carriercase space, members engaged in repeated "free riding" attempts, placing clothes in other members' pouches and stuffing belongings in pockets, resulting in a delightful sharing economy where everyone freely shared everything from clothing and cosmetics to facial cleansing products.
Gabi shared that through this trip, she kept only functional clothing and boldly gave up styling products like hair treatments and curling irons. Furthermore, everyone eventually ended up wearing sleeveless tops, shorts, and going bare-faced, and she noted that upon reflection, all that was truly necessary were comfortable clothes, shoes, and sunscreen. She even boasted about unexpected skin improvements from the experience of owning nothing.
She also expressed affection for her travel companions Wonji, Isiane, and Harimu. She highlighted how Wonji's leadership, Isiane's effort, and Harimu's energy created perfect harmony, describing the journey as one where they learned from and cared for each other, raising expectations for the chemistry to be revealed on air.
