In the 3rd episode of SBS Plus's 'Time Tracker Sherlock,' which aired on the 28th, the show examined various historical records of the Joseon Tongsinsa, which shook the Japanese archipelago 400 years ago, under the theme of "Original Global Korean Wave Star Joseon Tongsinsa." FT Island's Lee Hong-gi added interest by empathizing with the popularity and hardships of his Korean Wave predecessor.
The broadcast featured special expert historian Shin Byeong-joo and art critic Ahn Hyun-jung, adding depth to the discussion. Shin Byeong-joo demonstrated his wit from researching the Joseon Wangjosil-rok, while Ahn Hyun-jung clearly explained the hidden stories within the paintings.
The broadcast drew attention to the Joseon Tongsinsa's processions, which were more magnificent than imagined, and the equestrian performance of martial arts on horseback. Jang Hang-jun expressed admiration at the equestrian paintings left by the Japanese, while Shin A-young and Bong Tae-gyou expressed amazement, saying they were like fan art or idol fancams. At the time, Japanese people were so eager to see the Joseon Tongsinsa that they even capsized boats, and the prices at nearby lodgings and restaurants skyrocketed due to the explosive reaction.
